Copy Elements
Copies selected components from an assembly to new files with custom names and a configurable number of occurrences.
What it is for
Duplicates parts or subassemblies within the same assembly (or project), assigning a new file name and controlling how many copies are created per component.

Prerequisites
- Open assembly document
- Write permissions in the project folder
- Valid license
Step by step
- Open the source assembly.
- Go to MicroCAD → Assembly Tools → Copy Elements.
- In the grid, select the components to copy (filter by name or part number if needed).
- For each row, enter the new name of the copy file.
- Set the number of copies per component.
- Confirm to generate the files and update the assembly.

Result
- New
.iptor.iamfiles in the project folder - Assembly updated with the new occurrences
Notes and limitations
- Copies only the selected components, not the entire assembly tree.
- To copy a complete assembly with all references, use Copy Assembly.
- Names must be unique within the project to avoid conflicts.
