QR Code Generator
Generates a QR code from a URL or text and inserts it as a sketched symbol on the active drawing.
What it is for
Adds QR codes to technical drawings to link online documentation, product sheets, support links, or any scannable URL/text from the printed drawing.

Prerequisites
- Open drawing document
- Valid license
Step by step
- Open the drawing where you will insert the QR code.
- Go to MicroCAD → Drawing Tools → Qr code Generator.
- Enter the URL or text to encode.
- Adjust the code size.
- Set X/Y coordinates by clicking the sheet or typing them.
- Configure horizontal and vertical margins if needed.
- Review the QR preview.
- Confirm to insert the symbol on the active sheet.

Result
- Sketched symbol with the QR code placed on the drawing sheet
- The QR is scannable with any standard reader
Notes and limitations
- Very long text produces denser QR codes; check the preview before confirming.
- The QR is inserted as a sketch symbol; you can move or delete it like any Inventor symbol.
- Verify that the URL is reachable before printing the drawing.
